Alyson Eagan is a first-year MA student at WIU. She graduated from WIU with her BA in 2016. She currently teaches one section of ENG 180 and works at the University Writing Center.

Lena Dunham, Sylvia Plath, Lindy West, Kathy Acker, Anne Sexton, Richard Dyer.

Who is your favorite hero/heroine of fiction? 

Scout Finch

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Being able to eat all of the deep fried veggies I want without any repercussions.

Which literary figure do you most identify with?

Holden Caulfield

What is the trait you most loathe in yourself?  

Not giving myself enough credit, letting others dominate my thoughts.

What is the trait you most loathe in others?

Meanness/lack of empathy.

What do you enjoy most about WIU?

My classes, my peers and my mentors. Everything. Just learning. The experience.

Describe Macomb in one word?

Country.

What or who is the greatest love of your life?  

My cat, Miser.

What do you consider your greatest achievement?

Getting myself out of my hometown and doing everything in my power to reach my goals (Get AA, check, get BA, check, get MA, halfway there!)

Motivated.
