M&L: What genre makes up most of your collection?

DM: Philosophy and literature.

M&L: Which book is your favorite?

DM: An impossible question!

M&L: How long have you been building this collection?

DM: For the last decade, I’ve been getting rid of books; I’m down to these eight shelves. I’ve given the rest to the WIU library.

M&L: Which book have you had the longest?

DM: Probably the Emerson and Thoreau and William James LOA editions.

M&L: Which book have you gotten most recently?

The Charles Taylor book on its side: I need to get rid of a book to fit it in.

M&L: Which is your favorite fiction book? Which is your favorite nonfiction book?

Which is your favorite poetry book?

DM: More impossible questions!

M&L: What makes your library/bookshelf unique to you?

DM: Maybe that I want to get rid of it? I love I-Share.
